Association President Rigoberto Ordoñez and Vice President Sandra Darville met on July 17 with HRD Manager Beatriz López-Galvez and several members of her team, as part of their quarterly meetings to exchange views about retirees’ concerns, particularly regarding our medical insurance plan. The Association representatives reiterated the need to: i) better understand the rationale behind the premium increase, which was higher for retirees than for staff, as well as the plan changes that came into effect on July 1, 2024; ii) improve communication and information dissemination to retirees and their caregivers; and iii) release the updated Medical Benefits Program Handbook. HRD committed to hold a webinar with Retirees in the coming weeks to discuss these issues and clarify questions about our medical benefits and the Plan’s performance.
