Nicaragua – Personal Protective Equipment for Health Workers – Clínica Verde
As a result of the few prevention measures implemented by the government, the Green Clinic located in Boaco, Nicaragua has decided to implement the protection measures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). These measures begin with disinfection and proper use of medical and personal protective equipment. The use of personal protective equipment applies not only to medical personnel and their patients, but also to the patient’s companions; this equipment needs to be replenished periodically.
The objective of the $ 6,333 donation is to provide the Green Clinic with protection equipment and educational material that helps mitigate the risk of contagion between patients, their companions and the medical personnel who treat them.
The Green Clinic is the executing agency of the project, which will be in charge of its execution. The project was approved by the Board of the Retirees Association on July 21, 2020 and the funds were disbursed on July 23, 2020.
