Cost-of-Living Adjustment effective 1/1/2018


Attached please find the announcement from the IDBG Staff Retirement Plans on the cost-of-living adjustment for 2018: 2.203%.


Dear Retiree/Beneficiary of the Staff Retirement Plan,

The Executive Secretariat of the IDBG Retirement Plans (VPF/SRP) informs you that, in accordance with Article 15 of the Staff Retirement Plan (SRP) Document, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), U.S. City Average, All items, with 1982-84 equaling 100, as published by the U.S. Department of Labor for November 2017 was 246.669. This is 2.203% higher than the same index for November 2016 (241.353). The corresponding 2.203% cost-of-living adjustment is effective January 1st, 2018, and it will be reflected in all pensions and children’s benefits payable after that date.

Per Section 15.1(d) of the Plan Document, any benefit that became effective during 2017 will receive a prorated adjustment.
