Dear Members,

On September 13, Cigna issued a letter to its members requesting their Social Security and Medicare numbers. The Association sought confirmation from HRD regarding the legitimacy of this request and received the following response.

“Please be advised that the letter in question was actually sent from Cigna, however it was released through an automatic process that did not exclude our members. IDB retirees should not have received this mailing. Please advise those who are inquiring to ignore the letter. An explanatory e-mail will also be sent to affected members.“
